Billings Pro - Time & Invoice App Reviews

Awesome

I have used the app for consulting work. It works beautifully to time and document my billed hours. The program is very easy to use and will allow you to set billing increments, even actively time your hours worked with an active stop clock! The technical support is exceptional. I recently thought I had lost data. Within an hour, technical support had helped me find the information, which had been safe and sound in my account all along. Thumbs up all the way...

Great for adding payments. Not much else

If you wantit to send an invoice, itll crash. Just like it has for the last year.

Upgraded self server and clients

Using the self serve server is only for technical users that know software and networking. If you dont know much about this, you may be better off with their cloud server and paying monthly fees. Get a consultant if you really want self serve. I am still using dyndns as the dynamic DNS service so I dont know how switchboard is working anymore. Ever since we switched over from switchboard to dyndns, we have had almost zero sync problems. Its only when upgrading I get nervous anymore. This seemed to be the smoothest upgrade of server and client. We had to delete the apps on the iPads and reload reload the clients to get them synced up. Hopefully going forward it is smooth sailing.

Constantly crashes

I tried to use this app, but couldnt even get started. It crashed everytime I tried to change my billing rate from the default. I deleted it.

Crashy

I had developed a good impression of Billings Pro by reading various reviews. But my first hands-on has not been good. Repeated crashes trying to enter my billing rate (iPhone 6). I cant enter it. Stuck. Hopefully fixing this is a top priority at Marketcircle.

To no use

Has none of the features of the real software. Does not sync properly and has no structure. Very messy and unclear, please revise. I love your OS software.

Why so awful?

The Mac interface is great; works super. This app is useless! Never syncs correct information. I could really use this app too, if they fixed it.

Too bad

Best idea for billing. Worst execution. No hyperbole. Just terrible.

:(

Will not sync to my local server!

Awful Update

The app wasnt perfect to begin with but this update messed many things up. Cant add contact as a company anymore and the dialogue box for creating a contact from scratch is messed up

This App Is Not Free

As soon as you download, you will be asked to choose a monthly subscription of either $4.99 / month or $99.99 per month (which is an absurd amount for what this program does.). 17 hats does more for less. Rethink your subscription strategy, guys.

Best CRM for Mac

I have done lots of research before making a decision. Daylite takes total advantage of Mac OS & iOS in its interface. Might have a bit of a learning curve, but well worth the time because of the full featured options in the software. Great job and, if you apply yourself to the extensive video tutorials, you will not be disappointed. The customer service team is extremely responsive via email getting back to you in no more than a few hours. Highly recommend for novice or power user. Sheldon B, Montreal

Poor Usability

This app is in desperate need of a redesign. although the desktop app is great in design and functionality. the mobile app is very clunky in it’s usability. I have to dig to deep for the things I really need (account info for specific clients or currently active projects). Whereas the home screen has info that i never use or not that often. Hey Marketcircle! take a good look at HoursTracker. This is how a mobile time tracker should function!

iPad version doesnt play well in a multitasking environment

The iPad version has always been clunky in its user experience. Now slips cannot be edited unless they are running in "slide over" pane or in split view. It runs great on iPhones

Caution: Syncing can delete timed entries

If you have this app on multiple devices, be very careful about the order in which you sync them or it will delete your most recent timed entries. When I use the iOS app, I have to write down the start time and time of day. I learned this the hard way after losing timed entries. This issue has not been addressed by the developers, as it just happened to me again yesterday. After timing work on my iPad, I accidentally synced my desktop app first, and it erased the timed entries on my iPad. I do like the invoices, but the product is unreliable if you need to time your billable hours. It will not recognize your most recent entries by date and time, only the the order in which the apps are synced.

The best way to time slips, invoice, and bill clients.

I am a solo practitioner, running my own law practice. I have been using billings for the last eight years, and it has only gotten better every year. The developers are extremely responsive and helpful, and theres no better app! The Mac and iOS apps do everything I need.

Great and easy to use

I’ve been using Billings Pro on all my IOS devices and Mac for over 4 years. Great app for on the go accounting and billing needs.

Simplicity on the go

I have been a Billings customer for many years now, and the iOS app is an extension of their great desktop software. While I don’t take advantage of everything inside of the iOS app, it does a great job of allowing me to quickly see things at a glance. I can transfer from the laptop to the iOS app and see my time/revenue, and then quickly break that down and view by client. As with the desktop app, it’s beautifully design and simple. It stays out of my way and let’s me get my work done.

Ignore the nay-sayers! Theyre broke.

If youre upset that Billings asks for a few bucks a month to securely sync all your data between all your devices, youre not making enough money in business to need an invoicing database! Billings has run my company for six years now. It has never lost data and never done anything unexpected. I love the new layout and use it daily.

Latest update has broken the timer widget

The latest update has broken the timer widget in iOS. It was always a little flaky, but very useful. Now Im wishing I didnt install the latest update
